Immediate-Load / Same-Day Implants
Usually a tooth is attached to an implant after a period of healing. In some cases a temporary tooth, or a temporary set of teeth, can be attached soon after the implants are placed.
Whether that is possible depends on the bone and on how firmly each implant sits, so it is decided at the examination and confirmed during treatment.
- Tooth on the implantWhen the bone and the implant’s hold allow it, a temporary tooth can be attached soon after the implant is placed. The final tooth follows after healing.
- ImplantSits in the bone in place of the root.
Temporary teeth sooner, when suitable
Temporary teeth are replaced with the final restoration after the healing period. During this time, you will receive instructions about eating and caring for them as part of your treatment plan.

Can everyone have a tooth on the same day?
No. It depends on the bone and on how firmly each implant sits when it is placed, and it is never promised in advance.
Are the first teeth permanent?
No. They are temporary and are replaced by the final teeth after healing.
