About this policy

This policy explains how information is handled when you use our website or contact us through the channels it provides. The practice's separate Notice of Privacy Practices explains the use and disclosure of protected health information in connection with patient care. This website policy does not replace that notice or your health-information rights.

Information you provide

If you call or email the practice, we receive the contact details and information you choose to provide, such as your name, telephone number, email address and enquiry. We use these to respond and coordinate the service you request. Please do not send detailed medical records, identification documents or payment-card information through ordinary email. Call us to arrange an appropriate way to share sensitive information.

Online booking: our appointment and contact pages show an online booking form provided by PatientXpress, a scheduling service the practice uses. The form appears inside our pages but is run by PatientXpress: what you enter goes to PatientXpress and the practice's scheduling records, not to this website, and this website does not read or store it. PatientXpress's own terms and privacy practices also apply to the form. You can always book by phone instead.

Text messages: this website does not collect phone numbers for texting. See Text Messages.

Reader experiences: where an article invites readers to share an experience, the form stores the article, the text, an optional first name, the page's language and the time in the content system this website uses. It does not ask for an email address or phone number. An entry appears on the site only if the practice approves it, with the first name if you gave one. Please do not include health details that identify you.

Information generated by website use

Delivering a web page or embedded resource involves requests that can include an IP address, browser or device information, the requested resource and the request time. Our service providers may process this information to deliver content, maintain security and troubleshoot errors. The specific records retained depend on the service and its configuration.

This website is hosted by Vercel. Like other web hosts, Vercel processes request information to deliver the site, protect it against misuse and diagnose errors. How long those records are kept is set by Vercel's service.

Content and external services

Our website uses Sanity to manage published content and Cloudinary to deliver media. Requests for externally hosted media can disclose technical request information to the delivery provider. These public-content services are separate from the practice's patient-record system.

An embedded Google Map helps visitors locate the practice. When it loads, your browser connects to Google, which can receive technical information about that request. Using the directions link opens Google's service. External social-media links take you to the relevant platform, whose own privacy terms apply when you visit it.

Cookies, analytics and privacy signals

This website does not set cookies of its own and does not use analytics or advertising tools. While you browse, your browser keeps a short list of the pages you opened in that tab (session storage) so the website's Back button can return you to the previous page and position; it is deleted when you close the tab and is never sent to us.

Embedded services may store information in your browser under their own rules: the Google Map (Google), the booking form (PatientXpress, which keeps its booking settings in your browser's storage) and, only if you choose to play one, a YouTube video, which loads when you press play and uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode.

Because this website has no advertising or cross-site tracking tools of its own, there is nothing for it to switch off in response to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. Embedded services follow their own rules.

How information is used and shared

We use information for the enquiry or service you request, website delivery and security, and applicable legal obligations. Providers supporting these functions receive information relevant to their role. We may disclose information when legally required or permitted; health information remains subject to applicable health-privacy rules. We do not use this website to sell personal information or to share it for cross-context advertising, and this policy is not an authorization to send patient information to advertising platforms.

Retention and protection

This website has no patient database of its own. Technical request records are kept by the service providers above under their own settings. Enquiries, booking records and patient records are kept in the practice's own systems for as long as they are needed for the purposes above and as the law requires.

We use safeguards appropriate to the information and service involved, and the website is served only over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No website or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your requests and choices

Contact us to ask about information submitted through this website or to request a correction. We may verify your identity proportionately. Depending on the law that applies to you and to the information, you may have further rights, and we will explain any limits. Patient-record requests follow the practice's Notice of Privacy Practices.

Children, changes and contact

This website is general information and is not designed to collect information from children. A parent or legal guardian can contact the practice to arrange a child's care.
